You were given a body, which was the beginning of life this go around. But that was not your Alpha, your fully accurate beginning as a spiritual being and child of God. For you are more than a body. The Spirit of you is your Alpha, your True Self, and has also been referred to as the “I AM”, the eternal Spiritual Self. Jesus said, “Before Abraham was, I Am”,…which meant the “I AM”, his Spiritual Self, God in him, has preexisted even the life of Abraham, who lived physically thousands of years before. This also implies that the Spirit Within, the “I AM” of you and me has preexisted the body we currently wear.
Although your body is temporal, your Spirit is eternal. The Apostle Paul has shared that we have both a physical body and a spiritual body. In talking about death, he says “…the seen shall pass away, but the unseen (Spirit) is eternal.” In other words, if there is an Omega, an ending, it is the same spiritual reality as the Alpha or your beginning. Created in Love, as Love…Love is what you will always be.
You were created whole and complete by God. The Creator has been with you as a Presence of Love from the moment of your creation, whether you have been aware of it or not. Therefore, right now, this moment, and every moment, you are in the Loving Presence of God.
T. S. Eliot has stated, “We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.” I would add, we may seem to be knowing it for the first time, but it has been the Truth for all time. We are in truth, the same being at the Omega, the ending, that we were at the Alpha, the beginning, where we started. There is really no ending other than the death of a separate self we created on life’s journey. Through the practices of spiritual growth there is an awakening to our True Sacred Self and of our oneness in and of the One Source, which was our reality from the beginning.
After a lifetime or lifetimes of exploration, attempting to find our True Selves, we will eventually arrive where we started, which is to be spiritually awake IN GOD. We may then know for the first time, what has been THE TRUTH FOR ALL TIME,…YOU ARE IN GOD AND GOD IS IN YOU! INSEPARABLE! ALWAYS! Coming to this awareness is everyone’s spiritual journey! Let us all be healed of the illusion of separation and the darkness of fear, that sneaks into one’s consciousness and divides.
