My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you for remaining safe and well as the world and each of us faces this pandemic. May you each maintain a consciousness of the Presence of Light and Love surrounding and protecting you as you follow the guidance to do that which is for your highest good, your family, and all concerned.
UNDERSTANDING TRIUMPHS OVER FEAR
It is not surprising that people everywhere are falling into the grips of various degrees of fear. My hope is that although you may be feeling some fear, it has not completely overtaken you. I came across a quote by Katherine Paterson who said; “To fear is one thing. To let fear grab you by the tail and swing you around is another.”
Whenever we face something that is new and we have little or no understanding of it in this life, we typically give away some or all of our power to it. Right now, there are things that we and others don’t understand about this virus. Otherwise, we would have a vaccine to overcome it. It’s being worked on and each day we are understanding more that we can do to protect ourselves. Much of what we are being asked to do as part of the population is new, carries seriousness, urgency and can bring on more fear.
When we are in fear, we are inclined to pull back. The government and health agencies are essentially requiring that we pull back in many ways we are not accustomed to living our lives. It is important that as much as we are asked to pull back externally, let us realize we are being called to step forward internally, with what we know and understand spiritually, and can keep us centered in Infinite Power.
There is a blown up image of the coronavirus in full color that is now virtually everywhere to be seen on the internet and other places. I encourage everyone to avoid looking at it, as if it is that evil something that is trying to get you. Give it no identity, no power, no energy through your attention. Refuse to focus on it, and inwardly affirm that the Life and Infinite Intelligence within you is greater than anything you can face in the world.
We are all in this together. This virus doesn’t care what race, color, or nationality you are. It doesn’t care if you are young or old, rich or poor, Republican or Democrat,…Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or whatever. Perhaps there is much for the world to learn around cooperation and collaboration in facing a common foe,…and that we are all of One Spirit, One Source. Let us not turn on others, ourselves, or anyone as we deal with this crisis. Nothing lasts forever. This too shall pass. What can we learn while going through it?
